Some people, like me, identify with what Pedro says. We are often labeled as strange or considered the black sheep of the family. Despite the love we receive from our closest relative our parents and sibling they do not always understand what we are trying to express, explain, or what we see.

Our honesty, innocence, or perhaps better described as authenticity, can make us feel as though we do not belong to our own flock. We must persist in pursuing our dreams and trust what we see and feel, even when others do not believe us. If we do not learn to value and live with what we see and feel, we become victims of the opinions of people who cannot understand our experiences.

Thanks to my determination to find the flock to which I truly belong, I have found my anchor and can now be proud of my authenticity.
